The Line No One Wants to Draw!

Please go back and read the blog post named “The Trinity Saves” as it will lay the groundwork for this study and will make all clear as to what line is drawn where and why and how the truth was derived from this action.

The First Line

The first line is that nowhere in the Scripture is there a reference made other that the Word of God and the Messiah when referring to the Lord our Saviour. Only once the birth of a child through the Virgin Mary happens and the Word becomes flesh, the terminology changes and now we have Jesus Christ the Son of God. This is not conjecture but can very easily be verified in the Bible, and for help read the other blog entry referred to above, and with this the first line is drawn and yes the Word of God is known as the Son of God and the Word is God.

The Second Line

In this it is that Jesus, nor the Apostles and the other followers of Christ ever referred to themselves as christians, no never. Those that hated Jesus and so being the Jews, the Romans and the gentiles, and they used the term as a derogative term but not the followers of Christ Jesus. This then brings us to the third line where we find the answer as to when, why and where this derogative term “christian” became the new buzzword and all fuzzy and warm, like sunshine that is, pun intended!

The Third Line That All People Try to Avoid

Now note that I said people and not believers and that will become evident as we go along and reveal more. There are many places on the web and in literature where you can find much more information on whom, what and where, but in this post we will deal with the evidence that we believe is true and if you can conclusively reveal the contrary we will amend or remove this blog post.

Again it all comes back to the Sabbath vs. Sunday worship and this is very important as we will see that this will show the third line and lead to a fundamental truth. Lets crack on then shall we, about 100 A.D. there was a group of people that stared to worship on Sunday and they said it is because Jesus rose on this day. Now these people could not be followers of Jesus in the true sense of the word as God never hollowed the day that the resurrection took place, nowhere in Scripture, nowhere. Now this is why we refer to them as people and not saints for the Word of God tells us that if we preach a contrary Gospel we are accursed. The long period of time and changes that happened in this time period was attributed to the change, Satan’s work no less for God is unchanging and he tells us so in Numbers 23:19.

So God said Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, Day 6, God’s Holy Day the Sabbath. Not to be outdone Satan wanted his own setup and as the serpent that beguiled the woman in the Garden of Eden he set up his own and it is like this, sunday worship, fake sabbath, day 2, day 3, day 4, day 5, day 6, day 7. In Babylon sun worship was the order of the day with other pagan practices until its demise in 539 B.C. and this brought these sun worshiping priest to Rome and Alexandria, yes that Alexandria that gave the world “bibles” that is more than questionable, rather downright evil because of all the inconsistencies and changes made to them. Now we add a quote to show the extent of the problem and one of the arrows that helps us draw a line:

Note the following quote from the Church historian Socrates Scholasticus (5th century), “For although almost all churches throughout the world celebrate the sacred mysteries [of the Lord’s Supper] on the Sabbath of every week, yet the Christians of Alexandria and at Rome, on account of some ancient tradition, have ceased to do this.” – Socrates Scholasticus, Ecclesiastical History, Book 5, ch. 22.

We have arrived; the christians of Alexandria and Rome have made the change and are called christians. So a change from the Sabbath to Sunday worship had to take place make a distinction, and now with this distinction made the derogative term christian became acceptable and an emblem of a people that had nothing to do with the Body of Christ, no nothing for God of the Bible is not the sun shining in the sky, God created the sun.

These pagan priests of Babylon with their sun worship practices and the Church of Rome married their practices so effectively that this new group of people calling themselves christians in a good sense saw the entire city of Rome convert to Christianity and Rome became known as the New Babylon. So now it is quite easy to see why not Jesus nor the Apostles and neither any of the followers of Jesus ever referred to themselves as christians, but it is clear why a pagan driven religion with a form of godliness but no fear of God would adopt this derogative term with reverence and honor, christian Rome, the Roman Catholic Church, the same church that persecuted, killed, tortured, burnt, etc. those that stood for the truth, the same that vehemently opposed the Sabbath and Jesus.

Now with christianity established as a movement and as an acceptable norm, the then “Early Church Fathers” as they were referred to, and yes it makes no sense as there is only one Father of the Body and not many, but these so called “early church fathers” in around 90 to 100 A.D. started to say that SUN-day should be the day of worship and suggested linking it to the resurrection, problem solved. So began the period of SUN-day keeping in Rome and Alexandria and the christian era with a day of worship has been born, the spawn of Satan.

And then along comes Constantine a devout pagan one day has a epiphany in the form of a vision and sees a cross and that is all she wrote as Constantine now converted to christianity the new kind that is not derogative and that is infused with paganism and has nothing to do with the Gospel of Christ, nothing. This was a brilliant move as he brought to groups together to strengthen his armies, and this was also the beginning of the end for groups of true believers like the Waldensian and others as they would suffer terrible crimes at the hands of this new brand of people called christians. Now to cement the occasion on March 7 in the year 321 A.D. Constantine passes his law of Sunday worship and so began an era of systematic annihilation of true Godliness and the destruction of the Body of Christ has started in earnest.

This new breed of “believer” then went even further and started to call Sunday the Lord’s Day, yes they changed what God had hollowed and made it their own these christians and no they are not the saints of the 1st century even by a far stretch of the imagination, never. As the Roman Catholic Church and the power of the Pope grew there was a drive against the Sabbath and observing the Sabbath to the extent that Sunday sacredness was made law and it was forbidden to rest on the Sabbath and this decree was passed in the Council of Laodicea (A.D. 363-364).

Note carefully the following historical quote. “In the year 325, Sylvester, Bishop of Rome (AD 314-337), officially changed the title of the first day, calling it the Lord's day.” (Lucium, Historia Ecclesiastica, p. 739)

Now it was time to set some ground rules for this new bunch of “godly people” called the christians and were instructed to work on the Sabbath and rather rest on the lord’s day, Sunday and then they would rest as, take a guess come on, as christians but if they did not and held to the Sabbath rest they were to be anathema from Christ, can you imagine a more Satanic bunch, they where no sheep of the Saviour, no siree!

Canon XXIX: “Christians must not Judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honouring the Lord’s Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be Judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ.”

And now ask yourself if you will call yourself a christian and if you do what do you adhere to, where is the Scripture in all of this, well the Scripture is silenced, it is not silent it has been silenced that is what and where it is:

And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Mar 2:27

And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. Luke 23:54

And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. Act 13:44

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. Luke 4:16

Even after Jesus died it was still the commandment:

And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. Luke 23:56

As that third line has been drawn it will be a tumultuous time for you as you see the whole picture for the truth will set you free but it is not guaranteed that being set free will be easy. Take the time to study and all the while pray to the Father God that your heart will not be hardened and accept His truth, because we have a promise that you might be wrong, but only for a season. We leave you with a saintly greeting and a verse as encouragement for your road ahead:

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Col 2:8
