Do you love your CHURCH? (Part 1)

Today we talk about church and it refers to a building, doctrines and a founder of that denomination. The denomination can be christian and therefore trinitarian or non-trinitarian depending on the founding father or fathers or mothers for that fact, but however it is we will look at the different claims, organizational structures and general quirkiness of what is called religion today. This will be a multipart series spread out and could be boring at times but it will be factual and accurate according to the inerrant Word of God with mans delusion added for good measure.

To start with we have to look at where christianity claims it started and who started it and for this they point to Jesus and say that Jesus started christianity and Jesus is the founding Father of the christian faith. The only times in the Bible that the word christian are used is in a derogative term that the pagans and others that hated Jesus used against the followers of Jesus, but never did Jesus and nor any of His followers embrace and use the term to name themselves and as for christianity that word is never ever used in Scripture, nowhere!

Christianity = Jesus

Well then what was Jesus the founder of?

It was not christianity but the church of God, Jesus being God in flesh for the Word was with God and the Word was God, obtained the church of God by His blood.

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. Act 20:28

So this church of God that was bought with the blood of Jesus, who then is this church of God?

Well one thing we do now that being found on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets while Christ Jesus is the cornerstone and all this binds the structure together and makes it grow into a holy temple in the Lord. Now yes you are this growing temple and you become the dwelling place for God through the Spirit.

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner [stone]; Eph 2:20

In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: Eph 2:21

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. Eph 2:22

If you feel that you need more evidence that you are the temple/church/ecclesia then look at the warning that God gives to those that do destroy His called out, His church and His temple, the warning is clear and who is being spoken about is clear as well.

If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 1Co 3:17

Jesus did not find christianity because nowhere in the Bible did Jesus refer to His followers as christians, not even once. Next problem is that if you wish to be a christian you have to be a believer in the doctrine of the trinity or you cannot be a christian, well where in the Bible did Jesus or any apostle define, mention or even allude to this doctrine that defines you as a christian and follower of Christ Jesus, where?

Do you wish to tell me that the two most important things to be a believer and a follower of Christ Jesus and that being according to the christian faith that you should hold onto the doctrine of the trinity and then identify as a christian belonging to christianity, but God left it out of Scripture and mentions christian only as a derogative name used by pagans and never mentions the trinity, really?

God warns us about offending His church and as we saw those that are saved is God’s church/temple and that is you the person and not some organization with statutes and bylaws and government certification, and not the people of God known as His church.

Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: 1Co 10:32

Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 1Co 12:27

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. Col 1:18

Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Act 2:47

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2Ti 3:16

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2Ti 3:17

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Gal 1:8

So what do those that read the Word of God know about what the Scripture of God says?

1. Give no offence to anyone, so do not use a derogative term as those in Antioch and king Agrippa did in the trail, by being sarcastic.

2. You the saved are added to the church by the Lord and no other, nowhere in the Bible are people added but by the Lord.

3. You then become the church, yes you are the church as you can see in the verses above and the Holy Ghost is your teacher that makes Scripture clear for you.

4. The followers of Jesus are not christians unless you wish to offend the church of God.

5. Scriptures are holy and complete and all that you need for being a man of God, for being saved and for life, Sola Scriptura.

6. Then the clincher is that should anyone preach what is not in this Scripture and the Gospel, well then you have to reject it and realize that this person or persons are accursed.

So where does the word christian come in and who can lay claim to it and the doctrine of the trinity?

Christianity = Catholic Church (Roman Catholic Church)

This is the seat of christianity and the birthplace of the doctrine of the trinity, and we know that Constantine had a vision of the cross and here it all started as he married state and religion and through this came the doctrine by Tertullian and there you are, christian that believes in three persons that are one, and so on and so on!

Let’s examine the claim of the Catholic Church as to who was the first pope and why they are the “authority” on earth and the pope is God’s representative on earth. To be able to do this we will have to go to the Bible and the evidence that the Catholic Church gives as evidence, and I have to say that I do agree with them and believe that they are perfectly correct, but they do not supply all the information and that is where the fruit that they bear tells us the whole story.

The verse of evidence is:

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Mat 16:18

There you have it the first Catholic pope, Peter, and the rock that the church was built on, Jesus being the rock and peter being the first Catholic pope and the first real christian, although the doctrine of the trinity did not yet exist at this stage and Peter did not yet live and you will see why soon.

In verse 23 we see that truth as to this verse above and when read in context the picture becomes clear and we start to understand the fruit of the Catholic Church and its pope:

But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Mat 16:23

I will list many fallacies that are practiced, proclaimed and even enforced by the Catholic Church, as this is a bog post please feel free to research each one for yourself as there are tons of information available, and that directly from the Catholic website and many others.

1. The Catholic Church claims to be the true church that is referred to in Scripture, only problem is Scriptures says you the saved are the church/temple/ecclesia of God.

2. The Catholic Church says that the pope has the authority of Jesus on earth.

3. The Catholic Church is infallible, not God, no, the Catholic Church.

4. Only the Catholic Church can interpret Scripture and tell you what you need to know, you may not study the word to show yourself approved.

5. Through the church fathers of the Catholic Church you will attain salvation, go and read it for yourself.

6. The traditions of man are equal with Scripture and should be applied as such, NO SOLA SCRIPTURA.

7. Mary is deified and in the names they give to Mary we can see this.

a) Most Holy Mary

b) Virgin, Mother of God

c) Mother of the Word Incarnate

d) Mother of Mercy

e) Queen of Heaven

f) Advocate of Sinners

g) Dispenser of Divine Grace

h) Queen of the Angels

i) Queen of the Apostles

j) Door of Heaven and Intercessor

k) Mary, Mother of America

l) Mother of the United Nations

m) Mother of the Atomic Age

8. The Catholic Church can forgive your sin.

There you are folks, yes as Jesus said in verse 23, get behind Me Satan, yes Satan is the first pope if you look at the fruits of the Catholic Church, just look at the dark ages and the devilish doctrine that sprout out of this body, full of church fathers that are upheld as holy, where in Scripture do you find any of this?
