There is much said about this subject today, and when you dig deeper the falsehoods and twisted truths come to the surface. I thank God for those brothers that take the time to search for the truth in God’s Scriptures and then share it with all, thank you for being obedient and allowing me to have the truth to share with others.

To explore the subject of the Sabbath and its relationship with the New Covenant we will ask questions and then answer them from Scripture, but what we will not do is listen to some person’s perception of what they might think or feels concerning this crucial subject. I will keep it short and simple as the truth of God is to the point and clear as day.

How was the Old Covenant instituted and how was it sanctioned?

The answer is simple and that is that the Old Covenant was instituted at Mt. Sinai and was instituted by the sprinkling of the blood of a sacrificial ox.

When was the New Covenant instituted and how was it sanctioned?

By now many might be raising their fists and voices, but you have to test what is said against scripture and for this sake I add two verses. Once you have read these verses carefully you will see in the highlighted areas, yes added for accent that these verses state clearly that the New Covenant did not come into being before the death of Jesus but only after the death of our Lord and saviour. You need death and blood or there is no validity:

Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto. Gal 3:15

For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. Heb 9:16

For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. Heb 9:17

Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. Heb 9:18

For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Heb 9:19

No one can dispute the fact that the New Covenant came into being the moment that Jesus died on the cross, and furthermore no one can dispute the fact that after the New Covenant was instituted that nothing could or may be changed at all, it is there in black and white. Now this brings us to a point where we know that Jesus, the disciples and their followers kept the Sabbath. Now if this commandment was nailed to the cross then it could not take place after the death of Jesus and would not be perpetrated by His followers, for sure it would be by the Jews but not even the Jews that followed Jesus could change the New Covenant, no man could, right?

And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment. Luke 23:56

And they the followers of Jesus Christ; and what did they do, they rested on the Sabbath day according to the commandment that those that call themselves christians, those that believe in three gods in one, they will tell you that this commandment does not exist anymore and the holy day is now Sunday, but the Scripture of God tells you; keep My day holly!

So just to recap, these christians as they call themselves say that Jesus was resurrected on Sunday and that is why we have Sunday keeping. That is not possible for Jesus died before He was resurrected and therefore the Covenant commandments stand and that is why His follower kept the Sabbath, the seventh day and not Sunday, all false doctrine and right there in Scripture is the truth!
